Is There a Sift Portal?

Not that Mojang has confirmed. The only officially described access method is the rift system in Minecraft Dungeons II. Mojang has explicitly not yet explained the final access method for the Java and Bedrock implementation of The Sift.

Because Minecraft players are used to building portals — such as Nether portals — searches for a "Sift portal" are common. At this time there is no official portal recipe, frame shape, or activation item for The Sift, and this site will not publish one until Mojang confirms it.

Dungeons II

In Minecraft Dungeons II, rifts appear throughout the interconnected world and can transport players to The Sift. This is gateway travel through rifts found in the world, not a portal constructed by the player. See How to Find Rifts and How to Enter The Sift.

Java Edition

The Sift is announced for Java Edition in 2027. Mojang has not confirmed whether Java Edition will use rifts, a buildable portal, or another access method. There is currently no official Sift portal in Java Edition, and The Sift is not yet available there at all.

Bedrock Edition

The same applies to Bedrock Edition: announced for 2027, with no confirmed access method and no Preview or beta featuring The Sift.

Community Mods

Community mods may add their own version of The Sift or a "Sift portal" to Java or Bedrock Edition. These are unofficial creations and have no connection to Mojang's implementation.

What Is Officially Confirmed?

• The Sift is a new Minecraft dimension.
• In Minecraft Dungeons II, rifts transport players to The Sift.
• The Sift comes to Java Edition and Bedrock Edition in 2027.
• The final access method for Java and Bedrock has not been explained.

Everything beyond these points — portal frames, recipes, activation items — is currently unconfirmed.
