Ask which game is shown. If the footage is Minecraft Dungeons II, The Sift is officially playable there. If it claims to show a currently playable Java or Bedrock Sift, look for an official release, snapshot or Preview reference. Mojang has announced those editions for 2027 but has not published a playable release in the sources checked for this guide.

• The description requires Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, an add-on or a separate download.
• Entry uses a player-built portal recipe not linked to an official release note.
• The creator calls the project a mod, backport, concept, recreation or interpretation.
• The footage claims a Java snapshot or Bedrock Preview but does not identify a real version number and official changelog.

Community Mod — Not Vanilla Minecraft

Claims That Remain Unconfirmed

Mojang has not confirmed that the Ancient City central structure opens into The Sift. It has also not confirmed a vanilla portal frame, crafting recipe or Java/Bedrock rift behavior. Images demonstrating those features should be treated as community content unless an official changelog establishes them.
